Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) analyst Hamill? In a report, Hamir Patel cited industry observer Random as saying that Western SPF timber prices have risen almost continuously since April, but have fallen 6.1% in the past week. He predicts that the average price in the fourth quarter will drop from US$751 per thousand board feet in the third quarter to about US$500, but it is still much higher than the 2019 average of US$359.
